Rock n Rollers – Blackpool Day 3!

Another full English before out to bask in the sun again! We headed up the prom to Madame Tussaud’s,  we met Freddie Mercury, Cheryl Cole, Alan Carr and Mo Farah but all the staff only wanted a photo with Mr Davies!


We then had a quick lunch and headed into… THE DUNGEONS! As we dragged them (Mrs Cumberlidge, Mrs Hawkins and Mrs Paylor) into the deepest darkest pits of Blackpool to discover all about the plague, the war of roses, and torturous methods! Mrs Cumberlidge strangely seemed to know all the methods?!


Next we had a go on the 2p flipper machines (old school) before heading up to Tower! A 4D film flying over Blackpool before getting the lift to the top… most of us braved the glass floor before heading up MORE steps to the very top! What a daring and brave afternoon we had!


On the way back to the hotel we decided to have an impromptu paddle in the sea, Noah thought it would be a great idea to write our Christian Values in the sand to take pictures of for our website.


Then it was back to the hotel for a roast dinner and our awards night and disco.


What a day!

    Internet Safety Day – 7 th February 2017 We take E-safety seriously throughout the year but Internet Safety Day on Tuesday 7 th February will provide us with an opportunity to have a more in-depth focus on E-safety in each class and share some of the children’s learning with you. Over the next two weeks pupils will be learning about how to stay safe on the internet. Their learning and activities will be relevant to their age group. We believe that it’s important for children and their parents to be aware of the dangers on the internet, to recognise any inappropriate use of the internet, and to know what to do should they find themselves involved in any situation. You are invited to join us on Tuesday 7 th February for a morning assembly (9.10am to approximately 9.50am) when each class will share with you what they have learnt. Sunday is the Feast of Pentecost! We pray for Year 6 during their preparation for Confirmation

This Sunday sees the end of 50 days of Easter, and welcomes the Feast of Pentecost - when the Holy Spirit entered the hearts of Jesus' disciples. We look forward to seeing you at mass to celebrate this Holy Day. When we return to school we will explore this most joyous moment.  For now, you may want to look at the video below to help you understand the event. The Holy Spirit fills us with the Fruits and Gifts we need to spread the Good News , as disciples of Jesus.  The video link below may help you to remember these - think about how you will use the Fruits of the Holy Spirit throughout your Journey. We continue to pray for Year 6 , as they prepare to receive the Holy Spirit, through the Sacrament of Confirmation.

First Holy Communion - Sunday Celebration Masses

Just to remind you that you are all invited to attend a whole Family and Parish Mass on the Sunday's directly after First Holy Communions. It is an opportunity for the People of the Parish to Celebrate in this most Blessed Sacrament and for your children to receive their certificates.
